GroveSite Selected for Gartner Magic Quadrant
October 2008
GroveSite was honored for the second year in a row to be selected for inclusion in the Gartner Magic Quadrant industry
analyses, the "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Social Software, 2008. "GroveSite was one of only 38 vendors,
including giants such as IBM and Microsoft, selected for inclusion. In its comprehensive study,
Gartner evaluated each vendor's ability to execute and its completeness of vision. In its comments about
GroveSite, Gartner again mentioned GroveSite's strength in "easily customizable workspaces that blend wiki-style
text information with more structured file and data exchange" and its innovative use of "online web-native databases."
In fact, according to GroveSite Marketing VP Jane Hagen, GroveSite's clients are increasingly using this web
database feature to support day-to-day workflow between a company and its overseas suppliers. Hagen states,
"Our database feature is somewhat unique as it incorporates discussion logs, multiple file attachments with thumbnails,
and granular security. For these clients, GroveSite use moves from 'social community' to vital
'day-to-day business operations'."
GroveSite selected by Gartner Group
October 2007
GroveSite was honored to be selected for inclusion in one of the newest Gartner Magic Quadrant industry analyses, the "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Team Collaboration and Social Software, 2007."
GroveSite was one of only 25 vendors, including giants such as IBM and Microsoft, selected for inclusion. In its comprehensive study, Gartner evaluated each vendor's ability to execute and its completeness of vision.
In its comments about GroveSite, Gartner noted that, "GroveSite has found a niche in easily customizable workspaces that blend wiki-style text information with more structured file and data exchange." It also highlighted GroveSite's innovative use of "online web-native databases." As part of the evaluation, Gartner interviewed several of our clients and reported that GroveSite is "a customer-focused organization [that] has received very positive feedback from customers."
As cautions, Gartner noted that GroveSite's hosted-only delivery model may limit its target market and that important functionality such as Web Services is still under development.

Under the Radar: GroveSite with CEO Joseph McVicker
November 26, 2005
GroveSite was founded on the knowledge that existing collaboration tools lacked the flexibility, affordability, and
responsiveness needed to meet the emerging needs of organizations. With the advent of cell phones, laptops, and widely-available
internet access, working teams were becoming more dispersed. Organizations were increasingly looking to form partnerships and
strategic alliances to pool talent, move product and ideas, and increase efficiencies. Existing collaboration solutions were complex,
expensive and required intensive implementations. GroveSite stepped in to provide an easy, fast, and affordable solution to organizations,
